A free version of Roam is planned for collecting your group’s travel photographs, supported by advertising or Collecurate promotion. You will not need to pay to use Roam Free. Collection limits are still to be confirmed.

Roam has its own account. You can use it for your travels without buying Collecurate.

Wherever you go, the originals are yours

Your trip. Your group. Your own storage.

Roam sends original photographs to storage the organiser already owns, without compression or conversion. The service does not delete those photographs from that storage. Even if Roam were no longer available, the originals would remain in your account.

  • Your companions contribute without access to your cloud storage.
  • Keep the exportable information about your collection alongside the photographs.
  • The surrounding collection record is not guaranteed forever. Information that has been irretrievably lost cannot be recovered.
  • Collecurate Roam has its own account and login, separate from Collecurate.

Questions people ask

Is Roam for more than gap-year travel?
Yes. A family holiday, an organised group trip, a club tour, a festival weekend or a season of travel can all be reasons to collect photographs together.
Can I use Roam to share travel photos with friends?
Roam helps your group contribute original travel photographs into the organiser’s storage. The contribution link is for uploading; it does not publish photographs or open a gallery for friends to browse.
Will Roam be free?
A free version of Roam is planned, supported by advertising or Collecurate promotion. You will not need to pay to use Roam Free. Sign-up is not open yet, and collection limits are still to be confirmed.
Will adverts interrupt collecting photographs?
No. Roam’s free experience is planned to include clearly labelled advertising or Collecurate promotion on the organiser’s screens, away from photographs and controls. Contributors will not see adverts while uploading, and adverts will never appear in the files saved to your storage.
Do I need to buy Collecurate later?
No. Roam is for collecting photos as you travel. You can use it without buying Collecurate. Roam and Collecurate have separate accounts, logins and data.
What should I keep with my trip photographs?
Keep the exportable collection record alongside your originals. Your photographs remain in your own storage, but the surrounding record is not promised forever. Roam cannot recover information that has been irretrievably lost.
